Working on a magazine article on the power of staying in the present. Wondering how much longer it will take.
Diary of a Writer, contd.
May 14, 2013
On the first of each month I choose a quote from a great writer, muse on its implications for our lives, and send those thoughts on to you. It’s not really a “newsletter.” More like a museletter. I call it, “Mann’s Search for Meaning.”
Don’t forget to do the dishes, laundry, etc. while working on this article. 🙂
Also central to the article: cultivating optimism. Man, I hope I don’t screw it up.
Hahaha… You will be happy when you finish it. I look forward to reading it. I’m gonna write an article like that some day. Can’t wait till tomorrow….
I’ve been waiting for a MILLION YEARS for you to write that article on why we should not exaggerate!
Sounds interesting for sure. One of the things I have been starting to work on are simple presence practices so we can get it out of an intellectual pursuit into something we can experience each day. The key to joy is presence.
I agree, Art! (And also the key to a good birthday party.)
John, my friend, you have me rolling. Stop, my sides are going to hurt from laughing so hard!
